Lovely Simi does wonders with my wilfully straight, thick hair which has defeated many a hairdresser over the years. Its short and grey but I dont look like a dinner lady. She always gives me a practical but stylish look.

A very nice lady but did not have a good experience getting my curly hair cut. Not much of a consultation, felt a bit rushed throughout. I explained that I had been growing out my hair for a year and wanted to bring the length of my hair up to my chin *when it's dry and curly*. She washed my hair and combed it with a fine tooth comb which I now know should never be done to curly hair while cutting. I didn't realise until too late that she had cut about 3 inches of my wet, straightened out hair to my chin, meaning when dry the curls shrink to around ear length. When asked how I'd like it dried I told her I scrunch the hair then diffuse. She decided to use a brush and dryer to curl it instead. I have lost 6 months of growth and my wedding is only 2 months away. I hate my new hair, it looks hideous with my wedding dress and I keep bawling thinking of how awful I'm going to look on the day. Would not recommend for curly hair, sorry. Service: Hairstyling

I first came to Simi for a haircut about 8 years ago after a curly-haired friend had an amazing cut by her. As a curly-haired person myself, it's quite hard to find someone who does a good job of cutting curly hair consistently. I find some people do a good job sometimes or with a certain style but can't change it up. Simi, however, cuts my hair expertly every time. I can rely on her to listen to what I want and make it happen. I am always extremely happy with the haircuts I get from her and my hair looks good as it grows too, which is the mark of an excellent hairdresser, in my opinion. It doesn't just look nice on the day but for the next couple of months. In addition, I appreciate her ethical approach and use of vegan products. As a bonus, her stories are funny and she's a lovely person too. Overall, I can totally recommend Simi to give you a great haircut whilst also making you feel comfortable and listening to your choices. Service: Curly hair
