        Once again friends and I enjoyed a visit with drinks and lunch and although we had to lunch in The Fleur de Lys oppositeThe George,as The Georges kitchen was being refitted, we enjoyed excellent service,good food and as usual our pints of Butcombe Original,were superb.We were able to use our Butcombe Loyalty card for 25%off the food.Good all round visit,we will return.

        Rooms: Wow! The high quality of the historic rooms with 4-poster king-size beds and designer furnishings was a revelation. For anyone with a passion for history, this hotel is surely unsurpassed. Breakfasts and evening meals were all top notch with good-sized portions and served by friendly, helpful staff. Will definitely plan to return!
