As a pensioner and a former employee with Halifax Building Society and Halifax Financial Services, I was both shocked and disappointed with lack of customer care.
I telephone the internet banking department and was then passed on to another department for savings who I found to be
disrespectful and patronising to the point where I asked to close the account.
I was told I could not do that as I did nt have another account with Halifax to transfer it to!
When I suggested a cheque, he said that was not possible.
