Always found receptionists very nice and doctors and nurses go above and beyond, they seem to really care. Lots of people seem to experience issues with getting to see a doctor with their surgery post covid, I have never had a problem with Acre and Acrefield. They have been great.

Sadly have to give one star. Have had better experiences with this surgery but it seems to be going down the drain. Acre surgery needs to improve customer empathy towards patients and not, like robots, ask the patients to run around so that their processes can be fulfilled. My wife has been ill for a week. You cannot call them because the phones are busy. Patch connection to Acre Surgery was down. They have created Covid era patient screening process which if communicated can be followed but one gets to know when one visits the surgery. They do not stock Lateral flow tests and ask the patient to go to the nearest Pharamcy, buy lateral flow tests, test and then upload the negative test on Patch system which may not work and then seek an appointment. This after five days of trying to call them. There are simple things which can be corrected at a local level. 1) Calls - Why have long calls with patients early morning. the booking system can be automated for making it easy and relevant. Patients when ill can be emotional when all they need is access to a doctor. Why not give them that acess ? why have a filtering call with reception. 2) Prerequisites - Website can have the pre-requisite of getting a Covid test done before turning up in Acre surgery for any ailment 3) Keep your systems working - the patient arrival registration system was not working. My wife was eventually helped by a empathetic doctor for which i am grateful but clearly expect better health support.

Would give no stars if possible, Ive found some of the Drs here to be very nice, however theyre consistently let down by the reception staff. Ive been unfortunate enough to be a patient here for years and more often than not I self diagnose and go to the chemist, rather than have to beg/argue with the gate keepers. Who for some reason think its their duty to deny everyone medical treatment.
