Searching for somewhere to donate blood en route from Southampton to Dartford we found a clinic at Bexleyheath so found ourselves looking for a great Sunday lunch nearby never having been there before. We landed very lucky with The Earl Haig. From first phone call to book, to the end of our visit, the staff were all lovely, so friendly, helpful and welcoming and we were able to eat in the garden so we could keep our dog with us. We would have been allowed to sit in the covered booths in the garden had the weather been bad even though dogs aren't allowed in the interior other than gaining access to the garden. Our dog enjoyed her visit, being given a bowl of water and lots of fuss and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. It was so tasty and we were delighted that we were able to get a full Vegan Roast dinner - Mushroom Wellington with roast potatoes, roast parsnip, broccoli, carrot, red cabbage and gravy .Top tip for everyone regardless of vegan or not, the Vegan Caramel Cheezcake is absolutely gorgeous impossible to tell it's a plant based product. Will definitely make a return visit should we be in the area again. Meanwhile would highly recommend as it caters for all diets and has a lovely atmosphere.

Went today at opening time for a coffee and peace before meeting a friend for lunch, such lovely service. Polite welcome, very friendly staff, stayed there for food and couldnt fault it
