Terrible place, it looks rubbish and the service matches the looks. I went there for weaning session only once on recommendation of health visitor while my 6mths old daughter was asleep and I wasn't allowed in with a buggy, I asked to wait inside in waiting area till she wakes up but the girl didn't even let me cross the door quoting safety reasons! I guess she meant safety of spiders and ants on the floor as there was not a soul in sight... SHE MADE US WAIT OUTSIDE IN THE COLD! and when the session started told me to come in but without the buggy despite my daughter being still asleep- yet again I refused to wake my child up in order to join that ridiculous session for some ideal people who's babies wake perfectly on time to join in or don't cry when disturbed while sleeping peacefully. More so - I saw the next mum arrive without baby and being told that this is workshop not a class and she should have brought her baby! It was only after some bargaining and the mother explaining that she wasn't weaning yet and just wanted advice and information and ask questions that she was allowed in by the same girl- how dare she choose who to let in and interrogate parents? I have been to 2 children's centres local to this one and buggy was never an issue- in fact all parents at Islip Manor go straight to playroom with buggies and when our babies wake up we join the play. This is supposed to be children centre but me and my child were greeted with extreme hostility and lack of common sense and my foot will never stand in front of this shed again!!! DISGUSTING!!!
