Gatwick Manor

My Second visit is convenient for Gatwick Airport.

Would have given 2.5 if i could but not worthy of a 3 . The food was of good quality, the building is beautiful but service was really poor. Had to wait a fair while to be even asked what food we wanted and then my partner was given the wrong order. He ordered a vegetarian option and was given meat and wasn't until half way through eating he realised (luckily not a strict vegetarian himself and it was a pie so not obvious it was meat) but they didn't seem particularly apologetic, and actually carried on to tell us about many other mistakes they've made including giving alcohol to someone who didn't order it. It was also unbelievably hot and stuffy in the area we sat in. Like I said, the food was good quality and I enjoyed my meals but still was properly slightly too expensive (especially the drinks, the cocktails were very mediocre, we sampled 3 and none of them were particularly good). Wouldn't have gone there if I wasn't staying at the Premier in right next door and won't be returning if back at the same hotel in the future.
