I can not recommend this wonderful place strongly enough. The beer is the best with a variety to suit all tastes. Staff are friendly and very welcoming. The ongoing beer festival this weekend has been amazing truly amazing experience.

As an avid craft beer drinker and homebrewer i was always excited when a brewery opened up on my doorstep. However after a few visits i always thought the beer here had a weird aftertaste so i stop coming until recently. My parents have a loyalty to this brewey so recently we have been coming here for drinks, and whilst that weird aftertaste or unbalanced bitterness had reduced to a certain degree it still wasnt my favourite place, so we normally would only come for the festivals, as they had guest beers on offer. Today was such a day. The first day of an Easter bank holiday beer festival. We arrived just before opening and were enjoying ourselves. This establishment offers take away beer so after a few hours of drinking we tried to grab a few pints to take home. This was where it all went a bit strange.... I asked for 2 pints of one guest beer. Was told they needed to check i could take guest beer away. Immediate red flag. After waiting for 5 minutes the staff member returned to tell me they, a commercial venture for the sale of beer, could not supply me the customer with these beers as they wanted to ensure they lasted the entire festival. Well excuse me for being a willing paying customer who made the effort to be there on the first day. First come, first served surely? I explained that whether they are drunk here or at home they are still pints to be sold, but on deaf ears it fell. Instead they, naturally, tried to sell me onto their own beers for maximum profit margin. Fed up and confused why my money wasnt good enough i relented and offered to buy several pint s of their own beer to take away. I was told that i would have to visit a separate bar which was serving their own beers and given containers to fill with the beer. So at 3pm, in the middle of the festival, heaving with people, i approached their own brand bar. No staff are present. I wait 1, 2, then 3 minutes, no one comes. I give furtive glances to several members of their staff during this time, it is very obvious i want to buy their beer, but they all ignored me and carried on chatting or smoking. I gave up and returned the containers to the main bar and left. All in all this brewery is still quite a green brewery, still learning the ropes and losing custom along the way. I was here the previous sunday and there were a large group of middle aged people smoking weed outside for hours without intervention, so its not well looked after, considering how many people were there with young children! Honestly if you are curious then maybe give it a try once, but unless you are a local most wont be back until they take the business a little bit more seriously.
