Ordered from here for the first time yesterday - there was a bit of an offish smell to the rice/peas and chicken. I couldnt make out what it was but I knew it wasnt right.
Ate a few bites then decided to leave the remainder as: a) it wasnt that nice - it tasted like an English persons take on Caribbean food - it lacked flavour and soul; b) I just couldnt get past the smell.
Nonetheless I went to bed fine, confident I had dodged a bullet. I then woke up at around 3:00am this morning to the worst bout of food poisoning in my life. Ive had to cancel important meetings and, at 4:35pm, Im still in bed - weak, dehydrated.
As I said, Im not after a refund, nor do I leave this review lightly. I want to see businesses thrive. But the food I received yesterday was not only subpar, it was unsafe. As an eatery, please do better. Its not appropriate for customers to be receiving food inventory that is either poorly stored or well past its use by date.
