Took the trouble to drive a long distance to visit, staff chatting amongst themselves, no time to engage with me. Waited at counter to me served, young chap half heartedly asked me what I wanted from behind a desk at rear of counter. No customer service to speak of but l think I know why ! I rebuild many craft especially vintage, and have seen this approach before. In short I would not bother with P&B if you are smartly dressed and much older, does not fit in there minds eye as to what a sailor might be. Best to be young and Mustod up ! Perhaps slightly curly around the edges. I shall continue to spend my money between my existing supplier and the interwebs.

My husband ordered his new winder solo from P&B with lots of customisation. We dealt with the Sales Manager, Issac Marsh who was a pleasure to speak to. He kept us fully informed throughout the whole process. Very pleased with the finished boat and the final price.

Called them after some very poor customer service from sailboats.co.uk. P+B matched them on price and were utterly charming. Have used these guys for years and will continue to do so. Whilst I was in the store however there was a gentleman (I think maybe a customer?) discussing the various merits of the current government and senior politicians, using some particularly unpleasant language. Was in fact a pleasant reminder of how much reduced this sort of language is in polite company. If he had been in my shop I would have asked him to adjust his approach.
