Railway Tavern

Visited today, Staff clearly go out the back for a cigarette, unfortunately the smell fills the caf. The tea pot was less than half full, and when asked for it to be topped up, they added literally just a dribble, so only half a pot at best. Coffee tasted a little strange but just ok. Cake apparently was good. All in all this place could do better. As they are new I'm sure it will get better with a little thought.

Lovely place with friendly staff. Great prices too! Delicious cakes and toasties and much preferred over Starbucks or Costa

A* coffee shop! I come here a lot on my lunch breaks for a toastie and a big slice of cake. Staff are friendly and it has a nice local feel to it. Much better than a Starbucks.

A lot of thought has gone into the decor but I fear it is doomed to fail. Open 8 till 4 it misses the period when they are likely to do most business. The don't do any savoury food and the cakes are overly sweet with little taste. My coffee was near cold and I don't think it's very nice to be asked to move seat when I have got my order and the owner has a party come in which she failed to make arrangements for. I won't be back.

Lovely place, great atmosphere and cakes are amazing!! I will be back in soon to sample some more delicious cakes
