Skears Photographic

Recently got back into photography and was after a decent 100/150-500/600mm canon fit lens for bird watching/photography. After browsing eBay and seeing some of the silly prices being asked, I went online. A brief search brought up a Sigma 150-500mm lens on the Skears website at an amazing price. Placed the order which was delivered as promised. Really cant say how pleased I am with this purchase. It arrived with bag and lens hood (many on eBay more expensive with less in the sale). Put it on the camera immediately and I still havent wiped the smile off my face. Fantastic lens, smooth zoom and pinpoint autofocus. All I can say is if you want great gear at reasonable prices take a look at their website you wont be disappointed.

I was gifted a refurbished canon ae1 that came from Skears - was in great condition and worked well for me for two years. A few months ago the shutter stopped releasing (a common problem with this old camera) and I contacted Skears - the camera was no longer in warranty but they said they would take it to have a look anyway. For a reasonable price, they fixed it and safely returned it back to me. Sadly after a couple of months the same problem happened again but the repair was still in warranty so they organized a courier collection and delivery back to my home at no cost to me at all. Camera is back and working once again! Happy

By far the best experience I have had with any camera shop across the whole of the UK. Everyone is so friendly here and willing to help with anything, I've bought multiple different used camera bodies and lenses from Skears and everything they have is always of the best quality you can find: on top of that all of the staff are amazingly knowledgeable and friendly - the service you get on top of any purchase is just amazing. Could not recommend enough!
