Disgusting service. Wait on the phone for 20 mins plus, only to get told that there are no appointments left. Call the next day and it's the same. Finally get an appointment and told that you should have gotten one weeks ago, I mean it's beyond a joke. Reception staff ask unnecessary, probing questions and then when you ask for advice, you get get that they don't know as they are not clinicians. Then why do you want to know all of my personal Doctor-Patient details? No one talks to anyone else, meaning patients get the run around and then the staff get unpleasant when you, very unprofessional service. Disgusting!

I find it very strange that Mayfield surgery is taking on new patients (advertised on their website). As an existing patient, I cannot get an appointment. And when you ask for an appointment, it's phone tomorrow at 8am. You phone at 8am as instructed, stay on hold for anywhere between 20 to 60 minutes. If you're lucky you will get through, if not your call gets terminated, and if you do get through all the appointments are gone. When you explain to staff that you need to see a doctor, you get told appointments are only available with nurse practitioners. I really do not understand how this is allowed to go on. Taking on new patients is just going to compound these problems, you already cannot offer current patients appointments.
