We knew this company had an excellent reputation so we were delighted when David said they could transform a breeze block retaining wall on our front drive with local ironstone and new footings. We absolutely love the finished look, and Glen and Andy were outstanding as a team - so helpful and professional from start to finish - plus a lot of fun. They clearly enjoy and take a lot of pride in their work, as do the whole Smart Build team. We highly recommend them.

David and his team extended and renovated our house in 2021. Our project was a kitchen extension and downstairs remodel, back garden groundworks prep for a garden room and also upstairs remodel and renovation. Pretty much every room in the house has changed, and we are really happy with the results and quality of the craftsmanship and care given to the work. In particular, Andy and Glenn, who did the ground works, bricklaying and patio for the extension were brilliant working in pretty harsh conditions in Jan 2021. Overall the project took 6 months end to end and David kept communication up at all times, keeping us abreast with any issues and gave a very accurate build schedule that went very close to plan, even with the global supply issues that began that year. We highly recommend his services, and would use his services again for future work.

Smart Build Services Ltd (David Buck) has tendered for construction works on projects we had designed and detailed. They were professional and provided our clients with an excellent service from the inception, tendering process, start on-site and through to completion and hand over. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality build with attention to detail and always available to answer any questions.

We would recommend David and team without hesitation. The building work has been carried out with great care and professionalism. Whilst we had a fair idea of what we wanted from the build, the team were great at making suggestions which were respectful to the character and heritage of the original building. Particular thanks must go to our two core builders who were knowledgeable, highly skilled and good humoured. The build involved some internal reworking as well as a stone and slate extension. The match between the original and new elements is truly excellent, with detailing that is sympathetic to the building's former use as a stable block. We do not anticipate any snags in the coming months but feel that David would be on hand to address these, such is his evident pride in his work.

More than happy to recommend Smart Build (and David himself). A terrifying prospect of knocking through our kitchen and remodelling into a kitchen diner was made as easy as it could be by David and his team. David kept in touch throughout the project and was always available to visit the site at times that worked for me. When the inevitable unexpected things arose (as they surely will with projects like this) he was on hand to sort things out, could tap into a team skillset for whatever arose (from TV Aerials to Wood Burner fitting!), and ultimately keep things moving. Price and timescale wise he was pretty much spot on so expectations were clear on all sides, and no nasty surprises at the end. Totally happy with the finished result and would not hesitate to recommend or use Smart Build again.
