Problems, poor quality and painful aftercare. On receiving our keys, the sales agent told me shed spotted numerous issues herself, which had my back up straight away. I didnt have to look far as the front door had dried screed splattered across the front of it. Cosmetic Issues.. - Screed up the walls, in the sink and the kitchen worktop. - Blue stains (possibly floor primer) on the skirting boards and the PVC doors. - Gloss looked like itd been applied by emptying a bucket on the woodwork, also not cleaned before glossing so it was bumpy - had to sand ALL of the woodwork and repaint it was that bad. - Gravel outside used as an ashtray, tens of cigarettes buried in there, some not even discretely. - Sink had been used for cleaning tools and not cleaned after. - Door handles scratched, some with paint/possibly silicone on them - had to replace all these at my own cost. - Paint on the washing machine, floor tiles, wall tiles, the toilet, light bulbs, light switches, thermostats. Larger Issues.. - Leak in the ceiling, boiler pressure indicated a leak which should have been picked up on checks. - Front door lock flimsy and after 8 months were now locked IN the house, locking mechanism has completely failed. 4 days in, Taylor Wimpey still unable to get someone to fix it. - Boiler/thermostats not working, stuck on call for heat - very costly. - Patio doors are shocking, lopsided, silicone is all over, writing on the doors, just terrible. Lock doesnt work well on this either. - Gaping hole left in the kitchen wall. - Plinths were actually IN the screen.. ended up fitting them myself. - Units were water damaged from repair work took roughly 3 weeks to get them sorted, various issues like not actually booking in the job, parts coming damaged etc. - Paid for the most expensive kitchen option, the quality is poor. Vinyl on the shelves are coming apart already from mild use. - Sink overflow not fitted properly, ended up with a leak and new floor covered in water. - Toilet poorly fitted, flush moves around, will come off eventually, seat is loose. - 8 months in, the road outside still hasnt been complete. Had to be patched in the winter because craters had formed.. why not just actually tarmac it? To summarise - bad experience, luckily I can do a lot of work myself, but it has cost me a lot of time, holidays and money to get the house usable. I have had several people admit it should NOT have been handed over in this state, clearly they were all rushed, but thats not my problem or cost to bear. I would recommend anyone considering this development to go to Persimmon across the road, I have worked in some of their houses and the quality is better from my experience.

The only positive I can give is the sales and marketing department clearly know what they are doing! They promise the world, then fail to deliver the basics. Any questions you can ask the answer will always be positive, but they wont ever be proactive, or get back to you when you ask them to. The house itself would be lovely if it was complete, but frankly there is a significant amount of work to achieve that. Again, they have really dragged their heels with solving the issues from the snagging inspection. Nice people to deal with, I just wish they were also capable of what I consider the basics of their job!

Having brought a house on A Taylor Wimpey site and being told by the site manager that they are better than Persimmons. I can only say what a load of rubbish. We have been waiting since May for our front door to be fixed. It is now that bad that we have issues securing it in a morning before going to work. After several emails to them and customer service they still havnt sorted the problem, their after care is absolutely shocking. At least persimmons came and fixed my issues in my old house.

Looked promising but is lacking good options. House type design not as good as Persimmon. Bought Persimmon.
