Excellent selection of woods and rocks for hardscaping and a sandbox you can use to get the look you want before buying. Fish seem to be better cared for in other local branches (Fair Oak being the best) but I visited on the morning of Easter Monday so the shop was closed the previous day so that would explain a slight delay in the maintenance schedule.

The outside pond is completely unideal to accomodate the fish - there is an overgrowth of algae which is deoxygenating the pond, causing the fish to swim to the surface to access oxygen. Furthermore, there is no visible plant life suggesting the pond is inhabitable. The water is murky which suggests that there has been a build up of nutrients which haven't been removed, and probably uningested food and waste. There is obviously some sort of aeration system, but this is not substantial to support the needs of the fish. Please, for the wellbeing of the fish, clean the pond and make it more habitable.

I went here yesterday with two 17 Yr olds wanting to purchase fish for their new aquarium. James the young man in charge was amazingly knowledgeable and helpful. The fish are well looked after and there are labels indicating social behaviour etc. We wanted to get some plants too and James kindly opened a new batch in order for them to be really fresh. He also advised on the choice of fish and took into account the the young purchaser's budget. I would throughly recommend
