        A little plantation of native trees slowly maturing , next to the A road but clean and no litter , walk in the wood's a few yards the car noise soon dissapears into the background.

        See 360 view for entrance to car park we missed it and took a while to be able to turn around so suggest you approach as slow as safely possible. Probably parking available for 4-5 cars and free! The wood it self is nice and paths are clearly visible. Went on a rainy day and the wood canopy for most part kept us dry. Walk around the border of the wood is approx 2km and takes around 30-40 mins depending on how much your dog likes to stop and sniff. There was a note saying the back field has rile shooting although we didnt hear it at all when we went. You can hear the busy A47 but it wasnt overbearing and to be honest I zoned out the noise pretty quickly. Dogs enjoyed it and nice little short walk for them.

        Great for dog walking but can get very muddy after rain. There is also a LOT of dog mess not picked up!!
