The Barn at Collacott

We have just returned from our 3rd weekend stay at The Barn and have already booked again for a weekend there next year. That in itself should tell you how much we love it there! Helen and John are fabulous hosts, so friendly and accommodating. The food is cooked by John and is absolutely perfect, my son loves his pancakes and my other half his full English, I favour the fresh fruit & yogurt but have also sampled his pancakes and eggs and can highly recommend them. The Barn is located on a working farm but is so peaceful you wouldnt know anyone else was around. The views from the seating provided in the garden are stunning, this is a real rural retreat. Make sure to also enjoy the view of the stars at night, with no light pollution in the area the night sky here is amazing. The conversion of the barn from a working building on the farm to a luxury B&B has been done to an incredibly high standard. Downstairs there is the spacious dining area and a living room for guests to use (the owners live in a separate building). Upstairs there are 2 rooms, we have always stayed in the larger of the 2 rooms which is called Barley. The huge bed is a super king size and is probably the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. The room is tastefully decorated and has everything you need including tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom is another large room with a lovely shower and full sized bath. If you want a high end rural stay in North Cornwall you wont be disappointed with The Barn at Collacott.
