8 of us stayed at Mill Farmhouse and it was a great base for meeting up with local family. The grounds of the Farmhouse were lovely and the Farmhouse itself was spacious. However, there were a lot of small things that let it down and prevents it from being a place that I would recommend. Firstly, there was no one there to let us in at the agreed time and so it took about half an hour to gain entry. It was not properly clean and was quite grimy with cobwebs in cupboards and on the ceilings. It really needs a good deep clean and refresh. It was also not well equipped for a place that was supposed to house 10 people; no handsoap apart from in the kitchen, not enough toilet roll, no tea/coffee/sugar. Only one binbag for the week and nowhere to put rubbish once the (broken) bin was full. Also, no recycling provision. There was an old-fashioned washing machine but no clothes airer to dry the clothes. There was a lovely fire in the front room but nothing to clean it out with and also not enough seating for everyone, unless you dragged the chairs in from the next room. The TV was too small for the size of the room. Lots of bathrooms but not enough showers and the lino in our ensuite was all cracked and peeling away from the floor. The carpets in some rooms were dirty and threadbare. A lot of moss had fallen off the roof and was just left on the path outside the house. The beds were very comfortable.
