        While cycling through the village, I decided to stop and have a look at the church. I was given a very welcome impromptu guided tour including one of the oldest stained glass windows in the country from 1299, in Stapleton's chapel. Amazing & fascinating. Understandably these historic buildings require substantial funds to maintain, and this church is no exception. Well worth a visit.

        This church badly needs churchwardens to check and balance the absentee Rector, who disgracefully neglects his duties such as the Toyes charity advertised on the stone above the door.
