Buyer beware! Would you put a non refundable deposit down on an expensive car if you could only see half of it? Many other brokers have Rescission clauses whereby deposits are fully refunded if the hull survey reveals significant problems and the buyer feels compelled to pull out of the purchase. Remember, as a buyer, you are already investing by paying out for a survey and boat lift (expect those non refundable costs to be near 1000).
