Had an appointment yesterday 10 am was called today 2pm telling me my glasses were ready ! I've never had service like that before and will never use anyone else (providing they let me) I was told I had cataracts in both eyes and the optician kindly put me forward for surgery, the glasses he prescribed are perfect and will certainly help me til I have my cataract removed.

I didn't actually attend the surgery. I rang for an appointment ,as I was having an issue with one eye. The very pleasant receptionist said there were no appointments,by the optician would ring me back. This was done very promptly. The optician listened to my concerns and advised me to go to the A @ E ,which I promptly did. I was diagnosed with a detached retina,and go in for surgery Monday The following day Shaw's opticians,contacted me again to see how I'd fared at the hospital Excellent service from an opticians I didn't even visit .

Excellent service from here, better service and more thorough testing than you get a the big named places.
