A-List Lace Hair

I have just received my custom colour full lace Serena unit. Overall I am happy with it, the quality of the hairline is exceptional. However there are a few issues which is why I've given a 4 star and why I feel slightly disappointed given the 460 I paid. Firstly it took me over a week of emails going backwards and forwards to actually get a price for the unit I wanted, they only replied with one email a day and would reply in the very early hours (1.30/2am) of the morning which I thought was strange and delayed things initially, the admin team need to be more proactive with replying to emails. I received my unit exactly 5 weeks after ordering as advised and arrived the day after it was shipped. I ordered a small and whilst the cap does fit and is comfortable around the head and the head circumference, underneath it gapes ALOT and the slide does not stay tucked under the band. I ordered a full lace because I loved the option of tying it up and it looking natural, but because of how it gapes at the bottom it can't be worn tied up high unless I get my needle and thread out which is disappointing. Apparently the knots are already bleached but they are quite obvious on the transparent lace but unless your staring at the hairline you wouldnt notice. Overall I am happy with my purchase, it looks natural but for the price I would have expected a lot better fit and more timely communication with the admin/sales team. I would still consider another unit but would have to travel to London to go to the shop to try a medium cap, other units and to see what tricks they have to stop the gaping at the bottom.

I bought a wig just over a week ago having called to book an appointment. Having read previous comments, I was aware about the card machine not working however was greatful that the receptionist advised me on the phone that the card machine was not working otherwise due to cash machine withdrawal limits, I would have had to leave the wig. Once arrived at the hair studio, I was made to feel very welcome by all members of staff. The lady who showed me three types of wigs was very lovely so I can't fault the customer service. The wigs looked like good quality wigs when trying on, were not bulky in the slightest and layed in a natural position so i was initially impressed and excited for the fitting. Having chosen my wig I was asked to pay first and then the lace would be cut, tinted and fitted. I guess some organisations do things differently asking for payment upfront but I'm not to argue with ones business practices. Because I was also getting a fitting, I had to use two separate cards to withdraw the payment from the cash machine conveniently situated across the road from the hair studio. On my return, I was sent a link to review the wig however was wisely advised not to immediately review, hence thought best to at least wear the wig for a while before making this review in order to give a thorough opinion. Having paid for the hair, another young lady took the wig to be tinted whilst I waited in another room. She returned not long after, cut the lace and adjusted it on my head, put some mose at the front and blow dried the mosed area for a few seconds. The lighting was not the same in this room as the room I had tried the wig on, it was much brighter in the other room. For 50 to instal a wig, I was expecting something much more than that therefore I would not have parted with such amount of money just to instal a wig as I didn't feel that was value for money. Having left the establishment and sat in my car looking at the wig, getting home, it looked completely different to the wig I had tried on. It was bulky, did not lay down and the lace was way too light for my skin tone which i was dissapointed about. When i got home to show my family the wig, they were just as shocked and also pointed out the colour of the lace and the bulkyness of the wig compared to that shown on their social media accounts where the lace appears invisible and the wig is pulled back above the cornrows. You could also see quite prominent knots so when the hair was parted, it looked very unnatural. There is some shedding of the wig, but nothing that greatly concerns me. I was advised on how to comb the hair to reduce shredding. There also does not seem to be enough hair between the partings once parted so again, that affected the overall look of the wig. Additionally, it doesn't look like a glueless wig at all which I was disappointed about as I had spent almost 300 on this wig which I may not wear going forward. I have not called the shop to notify them of my concerns, as I have written this purchase off as a loss and moved on. I'm fortunate enough to be able to do so. I presume the only thing they could do is attempt to dye the lace darker or give me a new wig, identical to the ones I tried on! The actually quality of the hair is not bad, however the construction of the wig is not what I expected. I have bought another wig from a well known wholesalers from abroad which was x3 less than what I paid for the wig at A-list hair and was of a lot better fit and a darker lace more appropriate to my skin tone. This review is my experience and I will continue to support black owned businesses. Would I buy hair from them again? Yes if the hair they offered was what was shown on their social media profiles, I'd be more than happy to shop there again. I can only reiterate that the customer service was amazing but sadly the hair not so much hence the 3 stars. *pic without the coat was before fitting, pic in coat was immediately after fitting

5 Stars and some. I went to this establishment as recommended by a good friend of mine Rio who actually styles many celebrities. I fell in love with a beautiful custom made wig that was Red, my Birthday was approaching and I was looking a hot mess having had just lost my nephew and red was his favourite colour. Unfortunately the unit was too small this was a trigger for me and I embarrassingly found myself overwhelmed in the shop the staff were so kind and compassionate as a team they worked together to find an alternative and I left being able to hold my head up at a very difficult time. Alist products are amazing the wig was very easy to manage and of excellent quality. The kind nature of these professionals was greatly recognized and appreciated and I hope to return soon to invest in another exciting purchase. Thank you Alist Team.
