Lovely church and nicely kept Churchyard made for a pleasant grave hunt and genealogy search. A footpath next to the graveyard leads you all the way through a lovely open field behind, which reaches the school on Eyhorne Street.

Pilgrims Way church. Lots of history and legacy of the Culpepers and Barham families. Noted Lady Elizabeth chapel on the left created by her husband not only as a memorial to her, the best of women, the best of wives, the best of mothers ( the inscription'Optima Fmina, Optima Coniux, Optima Materis on the side of the tomb). Was meant to be a cenotaph to the Culpeper family as is proclaimed by the shields on the walls, but most of them plain because the family left the district and went to the Americas. There is a Culpeper needlework but I did not see it, may need to speak to the volunteers who keep the church beautifully.
