Have used St Giles now for almost a year. They actually listen to you, and even give advice over the phone. The vets and reception staff are amazing, a team of wonderful women and will continue coming here for as long as we live in the area. However, a few months ago we had one vet who we'd never seen give us terrible advice regarding adopting another rescue cat. She gave us conflicting advice, told us cats are solitary animals and prefer to live alone etc. She made us feel terrible for adopting another cat, and treated us like we were much younger than we are. We haven't seen her since and hope not to, as the rest of the staff are always so wonderful.

Our beloved cat Tom Tom came here for cremation. I rang and spoke to a woman about having his paw print taken, I stressed it was important as I was planning on having his paw tattooed onto my wrist as a permanent keepsake so he was always with me. I was assured that it would be put on his notes and his little print taken. When we collected his ashes we felt rushed and almost in the way. When we got home and tearfully opened the bag his ashes and an envelope were enclosed. The envelope was blank and so was the card. It would be been nice to have had a signature inside the card to make it a little more personal. A card arrived in the post from Deane Vets a week after he was put to sleep there signed by the vet and all the nurses which shows they care, a very lovely touch. I think the kick in the teeth though was not having his paw print taken by St Giles Vets especially after I had asked for it it made an upsetting time even more heartbreaking. My family and I will never use this place again.
