Sunday 2nd October 2022. WOW.. at last an old fashioned English pub that takes me back to the 1950s 1960s but in a good way! It has restored my faith in the famous British pub i thought extinct, all plastic gin palaces now with wide screen tv's etc etc i drank the abbot ale.. The best pint i have had in 30 years last was near the bury st Edmunds brewery way back. Today we ate beef in red wine sauce , mash potatoes with beautifully cooked vegetables not over cooked WOW WOW honestly in my 72 years that was the best pub food i have EVER eaten!!! No grease, no fat, no fryer rubbish, just good old British cooking like granny's. I live in Norfolk near great Yarmouth but the jolly Farmers is worth moving for. A lovely court yard, seats tables etc all very clean inc toilets, wonderful staff where a blast from the past in local pubs, lovely people. BRAVO one and all... Bar staff, cook, the lady is a GODDESS! Delia Smith eat your heart out!! Lovely young lady serving at tables all of you take a bow!!!
