Very early timber framed Sussex building with large bar area and inglenook fireplace that is lit for most days of the year. The pub has been serving the community for an age with the current Landlord in place for 40 + years. He is an asset to the pub & the village and will happily keep you entertained for as long as you require, being intelligent / witty - and very commercially minded ! This pub is a rare survival in the South East of England and one that should be visited, savoured and remembered if ever passing through the South Downs National Park on the A283 just north of Petworth.
