Berwick Barracks and Guard House is run by English Heritage. I chose to travel to the Museum by rail rather than car due to the distance from my own home. The Museum has no dedicated car park but there are several Pay and Display sites in the area, one directly opposite the main gate actually. The Museum is spread over several floors depicting numerous time periods and not just centred on the Military Barracks. Children are well catered for with dressing up boxes and numerous other activities. Look out for the reenactment weekends, I'm coming back in August for one of those events. There are very clean toilet facilities on the ground floor which are wheelchair accessible along with a baby changing room. The shop is also on the ground floor but the catering is really basic, consisting of vending machines only. It's not surprising actually as you're in the centre of town and there are numerous watering holes and restaurants to chose from. Wheelchair users I'm afraid are restricted to the ground floor of this Museum as there is no lift to the other floors. Pets and assistance dogs are allowed in the Museum.
