Sarah and Ross thank you! We love coming to stay and always find Fossil Cottage spotless. Everything inside has been thoughtfully provided, even down to the chocolate cake! The bathroom, the shower particularly, is amazing! We never ran out of hot water. The new bed is wonderful and so comfortable. Everything is so clean and welcoming. The Wi-Fi worked fine and our mobile coverage worked well. Netflix on the TV is brilliant and a real bonus. The wood burner a great addition even though we didnt use it, the cottage was warm enough! We did have an issue with a lightbulb going in the bathroom and on mentioning it to Ross he sorted it straight away. Berryl is ideally positioned. You are not far from anywhere even though you feel a million miles away as it is so peaceful. It is also great for our dog and we can walk her in any number of directions straight from the door without going near a main road. Thank you for another wonderful stay, it always feels like coming home and we are counting the days till the next time. Picture is of the uninvited wildlife who came to say hello! A red squirrel!

This is in response to unkind feedback we received on AirBnB. We left the host a kind review and decided to look past the issues we had as we generally don't like to give bad feedback. This will reflected both on here and TripAdvisor. The property is well kept and very pretty to look out. However if you look closely enough at Fossil Cottage there is a fair amount of wear and tear. True it ads to the rustic asthetic but still not what you expect from a 'super host'. The internet would drop throughout the evening which was irritating. The heating wasn't working the first day which made it very uncomfortable downstairs and had to supply our own logs to keep warm. The spare electric heater kept blowing all the fuses. She has tripled up the extension leads behind the bed. Which is a horribly unsafe fire hazard and something I had to sort out when we arrived. With regards to our dog 'barking' when we left her in the house briefly while we did a food shop, (admittedly this is not something we usually do but had to for around 30 mins). It was due to the rats running along the back of the property. Something the hose apologised and we understand because...'hey...you know...farmland'. These points I do not appreciate being in my review as visitors. Especially when we explained this situation to her. I did leave a small tattoo stain on the bedding but it's easily washed off and nothing a good wash won't sort out. Next time maybe mention under 'allergies' that the bedding is feathers as my partner almost had an asthma attack. This is an element that most airbnb's have warned us about before.
