        It like this pub, it is is probably the cosiest pub in Battle and the fire area is the highlight so nice during cold periods. The front of the building is very old and in character with the town. The decor within is now much better and much more consistent than it was several years ago.

        Arrived and seated promptly. Ordering was easy. We had the Carvery. Food was excellent, well presented and serving area was kept very clean. Ample meat and a great variety of Veg. All served at a high temperature. Staff were very welcoming. Would highly recommend the Venue. We did return the following week during the day and the same high standards were maintained. Big shout out to Peter. Always happy and cares about his Customers.

        Hadn't been for years and forgot how good it is - excellent value and so much choice for my friends and I to have a good catch-up over. Please just have a sign saying about how hot the serving tongs can be under the light! I will be back!
