Lovely peaceful location with beautiful views, large clean well fitted and furnished room with everything you could possibly want and a supremely comfortable bed all combined to make a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable stay. I particularly liked the small touches like milk in small bottles in the fridge in the adjacent dining/breakfast room for you to help yourself to (far better than little plastic pots of UHT milk offered by most hotels & B&B).
Matthew & Helena are the most friendly, welcoming hosts who take a genuine but not intrusive interest in their guests and offering suggestions based on their knowledge of the local area. I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them.
The crowning glory was Helena's huge impressive breakfast - freshly cooked with top quality dry cured bacon, butchers sausage, proper black pudding and free range eggs.
I just wish I had booked for more than one night.
Highly recommended, and I will be back!
