Entered establishment off the cough with family of four and was pleasantly greeted on arrival. Seated quickly and order taken quickly by very helpful and friendly staff. Although the food was very nice and tasteful, Unfortunately there was not enough to fill a small corner of your stomach and we are not big eaters. The cost for two hamburgers and a handful of fries plus a kids spag bol and chicken cabonara. Two cokes and a lemonade was a whopping 65.00 which for the amount of food you get was a little overpriced in my opinion. Went to Kaspas for desert as we didn't fancy shelling out another 32.00 for orange cheesecake as the portion was yes you guessed it......Tiny. I can't totally knock Vernona, so many people love the place but doubt I will be back anytime soon. Ariete on the same high street is in a different league altogether.

We booked for 7.45 pm and we're asked to pre order. Our table wasn't ready so was asked to go upstairs for a drink while we waited and we were collected about 15 /20 mins later. Bar man told us Cocktails wrre 2 for 12 so whole waiting we had a cocktail each. We took our seats but noone came over for a drink order or anything until gone 8.30pm and when we tried to order a cocktail they said the offer finished at 8 despite the menu saying 10pm. The pre ordered starters that only a third of the party ordered arrived shortly after. Then it got to 9.30pm and one of our party asked where our food was to be told it was just being plated up and it soon came following this. For a prebooked party we shouldn't have had to wait nearly 2 hours for our main. Everyone enjoyed the food, I had the lamb and the meat was nice however the mash tasted like an entire salt shaker had fallen in. Seemed like they were too busy to handle the custom and it was disappointing. Staff were lovely, when you saw them.
