I've always found David Howe to be punctual and his advice is perfect and clear. I see a review where he 'walked away' from a job, I can only say this would have been done when it's a case of avoiding trying to fix somebody else's erroneous work. David Howe Tiling has helped shaped the World's largest wall and floor tiling advice website. He's long been heavily involved in the free advice service and has respectfully corrected even his most experienced peers in the wall and floor tiling industry, when they have not spotted something on their own jobs. And he has happily spent hours with DIY tilers helping them tile their own splashbacks and smaller jobs where he feels they're able to and would enjoy it. The moment structural factors are involved, as in wetrooms and shower-rooms, if the preparation isn't done to the letter, tiling on top of a mess will only hide the mess. It'll still leak or cause issues down the line no matter how good the tiling on top of it is after the fact. I'd not only trust David Howe Tiling to tile my properties, I'd wait 6 months for his services. And if he told me that my shower former hasn't been installed correctly and he can't tile it, I'd not moan about him saying that or avoiding tiling it, I'd get the plumber back in or get it replaced before calling him again. He's a busy guy, sure. He's a professional guy, sure. But he's respectful and honest also, and that's not easy to find in the building industry these days. After having a tanking and tiling job booked in for months, we were informed the work would be delayed. All of a sudden we were asked if the job could be done the next day. It was implied that if we could not jump to allow this that the job could not be done for a further 6 months, even though this meant we had to spend time preparing for this the late into evening before due to work commitments. David arrived to do the job, but felt the shower tray was not installed correctly so left to do another job. Immediately time was spent trying to remedy this so he could return to the job and then we contacted him to discuss this. At this point David did not answer our calls. I text him to request he called me. He then did not have the decency to call me back as requested, but instead text me to say he was declining the job. Very unprofessional service, where we were took for mugs dancing to his tune all the time and he's wasted months for us where we have been without showing facilities. Service: Tile work installation
