Amazing friendly staff

When my close family member became a resident, we were really pleased with the care. Unfortunately when he became very ill with covid complications, the care wasnt there. There was a gap of 5-6 hours when his care didnt seem to be monitored and he was sitting in the lounge when a member of staff eventually took his temperature. It was so high, they needed to call an ambulance immediately. We question why he was not in his room, in bed, being monitored and why it took so long to realise how ill he was. The contact with the home after our relative died was poor. We tried to raise a query with the invoices and never got a call back from head office. At such an emotional time, there was no aftercare support.

I cannot recommend Rose Lodge highly enough, our Mam spent the last 3yrs + of her life there during that time the staff became our extended family. Every single member of the team regardless of their job work together to make this place a happy ,safe place for the residents who live there. They loved and cared and encouraged our Mam in a way that helped her keep her independence and dignity which was not always easy as she suffered with Dementia. We were welcomed there ourselves at anytime of the day or night and we were kept very involved in her care also the team there were always there to support and help us the family. I feel we have made friends in Rose Lodge and we will still be popping in to support thier fundraisers when they are able to open the doors to the public again.

Beautiful, warm and friendly home with fantastic atmosphere. Great place to work.
