"In 2.5 years, I always found the company supportive, helpful, and fair. No issues over pay and plenty of overtime :)". However, saccharin my review may appear, I still want this personal review to be objective, truthful, useful and insightful to anyone considering joining Nurseplus as a career or engaging Nurseplus staff in a caring role. Prior to joining Nurseplus, my only care experience was ten years looking after my mother who was paralyzed on the left-hand side from a stroke and as I soon discovered, looking after a member of your family is a completely different experience to working in the care industry! Not working for a care agency before, I joined Nurseplus and was surprised how much variety of working experiences I obtained with their comprehensive training. I would recommend anyone thinking of working in the care industry, to work for an agency first. The expertise I gained working for Nurseplus was not just with the elderly in Residential Homes and specialist Dementia and Alzheimers Nursing homes. I also gained work experience in a variety of social care providers, who specialized in supported residential services for learning difficulties with a range of special needs, such as, autism, learning difficulties and I gained a basic understanding of Makaton (a language program using symbols, signs, and speech to assist skill development of communication, attention and listening). Then there is forensic care (patients with mental health issues who are referred by the police, courts, and prison) my favourite work. After two years and six months working for Nurseplus I decided the time had come to apply to join the team at a local forensic hospital. If it wasnt for Nurseplus I wouldnt have had the experience or confidence to apply to the NHS as a nursing assistant (HCA). My working relationship with Nurseplus office staff, I would describe as cordial and professional. All the office staff, I found supportive to answer any questions concerning my work or personal issues. In my experience the Newton Abbot team illustrates the epitome of what a caring company is in every respect. Disclaimer, after working for Nurseplus for two years and six months, I presently work full time for a NHS Trust, but I am still retained and do the occasional shift with Nurseplus just because I enjoy working with the team so much! excellent training,management and office staff.good rates of pay and plenty of work in a variety of different care settings.staff and management in office always friendly and helpful if you need help/ information or have a problem.would highly recommend to anyone to work for nurseplus.
