        We had a wonderful day at Stover Golf Club. From the moment we arrived we received a professional and flexible approach from the Club Pro who managed to fit us in for an earlier tee time. The staff in the club house were also great and although we were too early for breakfast they arranged for us to have bacon butties ready at the halfway point. The course was in great condition and the greens fast and true. The course itself seems to have a number of shortish par 4s but none the less they were a good test of golf. A number of new holes are being built and these look like enhancing the course further. Weve played a few courses in Devon and this is right up there with the best!

        Compared to other courses in the south west, this is in our top 3. The back nine holes can be difficult and the course has a par of 69. It is a nice challenge.

        I found the course quite challenging as there were lots of leaves on the fairways. Otherwise it was good, staff friendly and welcoming and I'm sure will be easier next time.
