The hotel exceeded my expectations.
We had a very nice room, with everything required to make for an enjoyable stay.
New carpets throughout the hotel, and it seemed to have been recently refurbished? Staff were pleasant and welcoming.
My only quibble was that as a non-meat eater (not really a vegetarian, just don't like meat!) there were limited choices on the set menu. But I overcame it, and it wasn't that much of a problem, really.
A very good base for touring Cornwall; and as I know Newquay very well from past visits, I am delighted that The Kilburnie still exists amongst all the new holiday flats on Narrowcliff!
I hope others will read my review, and although recommendations are a very personal thing, I DO recommend The Kilburnie Hotel!
