Just wanted to hire a wheelchair for the day. Not open, and not clearly signed. And then noticed they only hire for an hour? What good is that?

I hired a wheelchair from them island mobility, Very helpful people . Took wheelchair, reasonably priced . As it was late afternoon when I got said chair ,we did not go out until this morning.full day planned . Reached cafe . Really lovely place . Managed to get my father in the chair . Then when we tried to get him out and into car it took all three of us to get him out . !!he was stuck !went back to island mobility who have a showroom half full of wheelchairs of all descriptions told me this was the only hire one they kept in stock . All the rest were to buy . I returned said wheelchair and feeling upset for my father . I call three more places all of which told me theres were the same . Red Cross were shut . Why didnt I bring one with me you ask . We with all the things my father need just to be able to live inside let alone outside . And I was forwarding thinking by booking one . My fathers manual wheelchair at home has screws so you can extend width . . This has ruined our day and the rest of our holiday in this island which we love so much . And may be the last time we will be able to come here . My dear father will be 97 soon , these little get always make him so happy . Now his mobility has declined not a good advert for this beautiful island sadly
