Like most Turkish barbers a good place if you want close clipper work involved in your style. The woman who cut my hair was no-nonsense and did a good job.

This review is for the High street shop, not the St James street one. I have Just been to this barber for back and sides. I was the first customer and the guy working there asked me to come back because he wanted to walk his dog!! Anyway the most annoying part of this experience is that when he gave me my 7 change a 5 note and what I thought was a 2 coin, but actually it was a one Turkish lira coin which looks very similar to a 2 coin, and hence why I did not notice when he gave it to me. Its worth about 5p! So if you are planning to go here I suggest you check your change carefully! The haircut is not great either, the guy seemed like he was rushing and the blending looks uneven on the sides. Shame because I am new to the island I would of used this barber regularly probably once a fortnight but after this experience I certainly wont be going back again.

I am absolutely mortified as my hair has been completely ruined. The bleach was left on far too long as she was cutting two peoples hair in between waiting for the bleach to take. This wouldve been fine it if she had used a timer but she didnt and so I ended up with a burnt scalp and forehead as a result. When I questioned this later they claimed it was an allergic reaction, and I asked why they didnt do an allergy test then, to which they proceeded to tell me its my responsibility to ask for one. I asked for ash blonde showing her pictures on my phone and chose a silvery blonde sample from the wall to confirm - yet, now I have what can only be described as white hair with ginger highlights that is also completely frazzled. I repeatedly said I wasnt happy but she barely spoke a word of English so it was quite difficult to get the message across, even though it was obvious she knew she had made a mistake. The staff told me that apparently now having hair which now feels like straw is normal and nothing to do with the bleach being left on too long and it is because Im blonde... and then alleged my hair was like this when I came in, which is complete ludicrous. I WAS naturally blonde and had some grown out highlights which formed a sort of ombr look and I now look like a scarecrow. Their response was just well dont pay, acting like I am being completely irrational about the whole thing and trying to play it down instead of acting taking any responsibility. Obviously I didnt intend on paying as soon as she took the towel off and I saw it for the first time. However, my concern is/was more my completely RUINED hair which I am now going to pay to have sorted out and dyed a darker colour! To top it off, it took hours meaning my husband had to keep putting more and more tickets on the car and occupy my toddler at the same time! They told me to go and ask any hairdresser who will confirm theres apparently nothing wrong with my hair, yet my hair has been in better condition in the past and Ive been told it had damage; well that wasnt a patch on this! I am not joking when I say I literally cant go out looking like this so I will have to wear a hat until I get it fixed. Hours after this my scalp still burns and my hair feels like its literally about to all fall out.
