The Tack Room

We have been a few times and the food is always good. On our most recent visit ( just before 12.00) we were greeted with breakfast is finished and lunch doesnt start till 12 and then nothing, just a stare! I had to ask if we could have a drink and wait the 7 or 8 minutes before he would allow us to place an order. I thought he was quite rude and then he went off to stand chatting to his friends. I didnt catch his name. Greyish hair, glasses and a waistcoat.

Travelling through Newmarket we chose The Tack Room for Sunday lunch, and so glad we did, what a find. The roast beef lunch was exceptional, service was attentive and what a wonderful setting. We had not heard about the museum next door before our arrival but after lunch did the tour, meeting the retired racehorses. Lovely way to spend the Easter bank holiday. Would recommend and definitely like to return one day.
