This was a really nice pub, we went there for a light meal in the evening and a couple of drinks. We had a selection of lite bites from the grazing menu which were all really tasty and well presented. The bar staff were really nice and friendly, chatty and helpful. The seating areas were comfortable and clean. The beer was good, the TV and music were not obtrusive and you could still enjoy a conversation.. If you are in the area this is a good pub to try for a couple of beers and or some food. The staff are really good.

Great pub at Newmarket's city centre. I was on a weekend and it was crowded but seats were available outside. The service was awesome...I asked for some smashed peas and the received recipient was empty, a thing I didn't notice until the waiter came with a new container and some apologies. Thank you guys. The food menu is typical pub food with not many choices especially regarding the drinks. But the outdoors seating space is great and it's bikes friendly.

Visited again today 24th April 2023. Staff very friendky and attentive. Food excellent and keenly priced. No this is not some exotic pub abroad - looking at these photos. This is The Bull High Street Newmarket! Yes you could easily miss it as you walk by, but stop it's just past Greggs Good old fashion pub with a wonderful courtyard that allows dogs in that area. TV to watch if you need it. Selling good beer and food at reasonable prices. Dining in or out there are plenty of places to sit in comfortable chairs. Staff are efficient and polite. You won't find the atmosphere or characters here like the Waggon and Horses, but perhaps that is not what you are looking for. However you will get a decent meal and drink if that is all you want.
