Just stayed at this wonderful, friendly site in the heart of Newland. Great welcome for myself and my dog Bonnie from the owners Rachel and David ( aka Richard ) lovely big pitches perfectly cut grass and a very tranquil setting. EHU available if need so, running water and toilet elsan point. 5 minutes from a great local pub and plenty of walks within the vicinity. Thank you both, or thank you all including their two sons for making us so welcome. Will definitely be back very soon. Peter & Bonnie.

What a lovely site! We found this on the CAMC site and it was the perfect start to our tour of Wales! Only stayed 2 nights but it was so lovely and peaceful. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. We loved that it was small with no facilities and the scenery was stunning. We walked up to the Ostrich Inn for a drink, just a short stroll, perfect. Would definitely recommend and will be booking again soon

This is a great campsite, nice and quiet. Endless views and walks. We walked through the forest to Redbrook and had a pint in The Bell inn , lovely. In the evening we went to The Ostrich inn in Newland , A seven minute walk from the site. Had some great food and cider . On leaving we crossed the road and had a look around the church yard and the old houses that are around it. This is a very old and interesting village. We walked back to the site , listening to the owls in the trees. The site has no toilets, but that's no great problem if you have a pop a loo. Electric hook up at 5 , water on site and waste disposal. 16 for the night , worth every penny. We shall return

What a wonderful find - CL site with Caravan and Motorhome Club. 16 per night starting rate. We stayed for just the one night to make a weekend out if a day at Beechenhurst meeting friends. The pitches (grass) are very generously sized and mostly level. There is a road which runs along the other side of the hedge that backs the pitches but it wasn't busy and the fastest, loudest vehicle along there was a fire engine. The outlook from the pitches is over wild flowers and to hillside. Several picnic benches around the site. EHU is available on pre paid cards but we didn't use it this time. Motorhome service point available incl toilet disposal point. No toilet block or shower facilities, we knew this before hand and was no issue. Short walk up into lovely village of Newland, the church is worth a visit and there is a family run Pub. Short drive back to Beechenhurst / Cannop in Forest of Dean or to Coleford for shops. We will definitely use this site again.
