Silks Dry Cleaners

Has not been open for past two weeks with no info on when they will re-open, has my items and there is no way to contact them to get them back.

I have been coming to this dry cleaners for years and would highly recommend it!! I live quite far away and have tried local dry cleaners in my area but this place is far from the best. I have been very happy with the service Ive recieved, customer service is at the forefront and the staff, especially Brian our extremely polite, friendIy and experienced. I have had many items of clothes pressed along with alterations, repairs and special care fabrics cleaned to a very high standard. Thank you silks for providing a number one service, as Im a very happy customer and will continue to use you. AVOID AT ALL COSTS - they destroyed my expensive item. I left a designer item requiring delicate cleaning and discussed the required cleaning with the gentlemen there in detail beforehand. Despite returning nearly a full week later it was still not ready and he requested more time. When I returned later I noticed that my puffy winter jacket was now completely flat. I raised this with him and he requested yet more time to try to rectify this. I agreed but when I returned a full week later it was still not right. He was now requesting even more time and when I queried if this would help and suggested the item might be ruined, he grew aggressive and started screaming and shouting. Ultimately he shouted me out of the shop and would not discuss even a refund let alone compensation. The service here is dreadful and with many dry cleaners around I would warn other customers not to risk their items here. AVOID!!!
