Lovely welcoming and obliging staff and food was good no complaints from us

Although changing hands I have to say the staff are fantastic. So helpful, and tolerant. I attend the beer festival at the Fort and after went to the Hope to ear. Like so many in the pub my three companions were too drunk to eat which was embarrassing for me and caused seating issues for the staff but they handled everything very well. I ordered fish and chips. It looked a fabulous as it tasted but sadly I ate very little because my stress levels were so high. We were sat near a large family with a screaming child which made matters worse but that sort of thing happens. I am going to go back very soon too order the fish again so I can enjoy it alone. Congratulations to all the staff you worked we on thar day.

Very friendly staff and they had live music on the Saturday night we were there. Good food and a warm welcome.

I was a bit sceptical when I read the reviews as they seemed too good to be true but no! This is a really lovely pub. It has a great atmosphere- its a pub not a restaurant with a bar. The staff are so friendly and the food was delicious.

A really friendly pub with plenty of great food options on the menu. A warm welcome and a large selection of drinks are on offer. Sit out at the front of the pub and watch all thats happening in the mouth of the river and busy port. Fantastic views across Seaford Bay.
