Great place to stay. Accommodation is not huge but very cleverly laid out. You can bring your dog and it is an ideal place for walking. Wish we had found this place years ago. Owners are friendly and even took our boys to feed Eric the highland cow (the picture is the view out of the back of our cottage. This is our second visit and not our last. Walkability: If you have a dog, walk out the gate and you're on a scenic walk.

We have been to the Elm cottage about 5 yrs ago. We came back again as it is perfect spot to explore the Isle and not changed so brought back memories of our trip before. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Eric the Highland cow is also friendly and loves a carrot. Very dog friendly. Well equipped with everything you need. The animal sanctuary that sell fresh eggs down the same lane. Though you have to watch out for the chickens in the road. With national trust walks right on your doorstep great for dog walking. We went to Osbourne House, Shanklin Chine, Bembridge beach, Steam railway and Sandown beach all dog friendly. The world of chilli Shop is dog friendly and has a bus as a cafe next to it which is quirky. The new farm shop along the main road about 5 mins away is the best place to by local food as the prices seem better than other shops nearby.
