They have the first ever build steam turbine engine ship on the ground floor. We were lucky enough to have listened to the history of this ship from a very good worker there. Also, on the ground floor, they have the sets of what life is like from several years back to all the way till recently, which I found very interesting. The sensory experience immersed us and took us back to the medieval times. Don't miss it if you're visiting newcastle. It is better to come early so that you have enough time to visit everything. They have a water bottle filling station if you are carrying a bottle. It is a free museum. Cheers.

Shame as I love this museum but it's looking very sorry for itself these days. A lot of things not working.
