Absolute complete waste of time, got referred from doctor in Dec 21, went through the issues got put on a waiting list got assessed a few months later told had ptsd, put on another waiting list finally 1st appointment july 2022 had to go through events again next session was told too much time had elapsed and should have had treatment back in Dec and ptsd treatment woukd just bring upset again so ended after half hour. My advice is go out exercise talk to friends do not waste your time, energy and emotions on this service.

Absolute waste of time. Don't try here if you need genuine help. More concerned about money and score cards.

Entire initial consultation, I let them know I had a speech impediment and this, coupled with talking on the phone is one of my worst fears that makes my anxiety terrible what did they do when a spot was open for me? They RANG me, multiple times; no option to email, no extra information on how to contact in a different way. Just kept ringing me really not a safe space if you need extra disability access. Would not recommend, as they dont bother to read your file before trying to contact you!

My information was forwarded to them and they never got back to me. I waited for months suffering with my mental health. I'm LUCKY I am in a better place now. Do not recommend.

I had high hopes after booking my first assessment but it quickly became obvious that Newcastle Talking Helps doesn't care AT ALL about people. Received an email to tell me I missed my telephone appointment although I was in front of my phone waiting. Apparently when you miss a phone call they directly discharge you so you have to go through the whole process again (book the assessment + fill the pre-assessment form online). 2nd appointment, same happened and they told me my phone had a problem (?!!), I answered that I could make calls/send texts without issues, checked my settings, all good. Booked a 3rd appointment, same happened again! I called them directly to get an explanation and they realised they didn't have my number right! Booked a 4th appointment for the same day in the afternoon, they never called. I called them again to tell them they are useless at helping people and will go private.
