I went expecting much, having read reviews and saw a busy evening service on the Wednesday evening. However, both the service and food disappointed. Maybe I was unlucky with the service and the fact that I had to collect my own food, to ensure it didn't get any colder than it was.... As you can tell, I didn't have a good experience on my visit, in contrast to the other cafes, bars and sites I went to during my visit to this wonderful city.

Very good Newcastle pub in the ground floor of a former office block next to Head of Steam and opposite Central Station. Six cask ales - and one cider - on handpump when I visited including a mild. The pub comprises one single open plan room with beer casks and kegs displayed behind glass on mezzanine above bar.

Always have a nice experience here. Great selection of beers with something for everyone. The Pizzas are fresh, homemade and delicious as well. The atmosphere is friendly as are the staff
