        Relaxed atmosphere and amazing food. I had chicken tikka masala but waiter recommended handi for next time cant wait to try. Even got a free birthday wine x

        The food at Simla is exceptionally good, there is obviously a huge amount of care taken to produce some really tasty and nicely presented food. It was such a shame that our experience was almost ruined by unfriendly and pushy staff. We were not made to feel welcome despite having booked well in advance and our whole meal was rushed to the point where a waiter removal one of our plates before we'd finished! It was clear that the staff wanted us out ASAP. Such a shame as otherwise this would be one of the best Indian restaurants in Newcastle.
