        Tired and dirty. Awful bar attached that had loud music playing all day during opening hours - a sports bar that has zero finesse abd right opposite St James' Park...which probably explains its reason to exist. This is also where you eat breakfast - I avoided that even though it was included. It is meant to be 4*, probably because it ticks some technical boxes, but it certainly doesn't feel very 4*! I've stayed in better 2* hotels than this! Staff on reception were fine but very young and by and large clueless when asked for recommendations for restaurants etc... Do not recommend until they give the place an entire face lift.

        Great hotel and location, if you're going to St James Park , hotel room was excellent, service was excellent, food and drink excellent, will definitely use this hotel again. Like it . Rooms: Clean , comfortable, everything that you need is in the room.
